There was a thread started back in July where a number of people indicated that they had agreed terms for photo sales to a company call Delius Producing.
I too agreed terms with this company and provided the photo. I am now battling to get money out of them. I have received messages saying "I will process payment next week" only for time to pass and no response. They are no longer responding to my messages.
I would like to hear of other people who dealt with this company, find out if you've been paid and if the book arrives I'd love to know if my photo has been included. This is the shot I provided

Martin,
I have dealt with them about 18 months ago and I did not have any problems at all. Payment was processed once the book was published.
If have dealt directly with the owner. If you need help let me know.

Hi Martin, see what I wrote in another thread lately.
Quoting INNflight (Reply 29): Send companies a strong but polite letter! That helps often. For more than 2 months, a company refused to pay me, and after dozends of emails with no clear response, I sent them a letter with my invoice some days ago stating the usage is illegal and if we can't get further on this case they'll get a letter from my lawyer.
And oh wonder, today I find 740 euros from them on my bank account.
Sending it via courier may help, so they have to sign a form to confirm they received the letter.

Florian,
there is no need to send a "strong letter" to this company.
Delius Producing is trustworthy and they normally set up a contract (payment, publishing rights etc.) and I am pretty sure that they don't want to breach the own contract.

Ok Vasco, I guess you know better than I do wether they're trustworthy or not.
Quoting Gary2880 (Reply 4): I know a few others who have not received payment along with myself, I kept getting 'oh yes it`ll be processed tomorrow', then nothing.
Still keep the option of a letter in mind.
Quoting Gary2880 (Reply 4): 'please can you send the image now due to the deadline' sending off the image then not receiving anything
I usually let clients send me a payment guarantee via email if they want the image in advance. Works with no problems.
Let the person who contacted you and negotiated the price sign the form if you want to.

Good point, I remember receiving the book, but not sure about the payment.
When approximately did you receive the payment, Vasco?
Will have to write them again too...

An interesting mix of replies. I've basically written again and have asked if the photo has been used on one of the two mentioned pubilcations. If yes pay up, if no prove it by sending copies of the books in lieu of payment for the photo.
I don't like being mucked around so I will find out one way or another.

Hi Sam,
I dealt with Jacek initially, but have been chasing Peter Delius since his message saying "payment will be made next week" recieved about 3 weeks ago.
There may be a logical reason for delays in payment, but communication has been poor. If they said we'll pay after publication and this date is..... I'd be happy. It's promises that they fail to keep that annoy me.

Quoting Tin67 (Reply 10): Both "Airline Design" and "Luxury Airline Design" have been published as of 30th September and are orderable online.
Are these the names of the books? The one they used my photos for was called SmartPoster covering everything on aviation.
My last contact with them was in January, now I'll write them again.

I'm sorry to go about this, but I have the bit between my teeth on this one!
This gets better, there is least one photo listed on the publihers website from within a book that has been used without the photographers knowledge or permission.
I wonder how many more of our photgraphs are being used in these books without us knowing?
