Hey everyone! I took this picture while I was at LAX, before I went home to Thailand. Anyways, I want your opinion on it, it was rejected from a.net, but I just was curious on what you guys think about it. http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...ejphoto.main?filename=100_1311.JPG Thanks guys!

Hi Sean,

There are numerous things wrong with the photo, but don't let that discourage you.

First of all, not all of the plane is visible. You kind of broke a cardinal rule in allowing the nose to be blocked by the jetway.

Second, all of the ramp clutter has been a no-no here for a while now. It just isn't pleasing to the eyes.

Third, the image is soft. Looks like the original may not have been too sharp to begin with. This will happen less if you shoot with the sun at your back. It looks like the sun was just barely on the other side of the plane, which made the plane lack contrast and also added the shadow at the bottom.

Don't let it get you down, though, keep shooting!

Regards

It's kinda hard to get a gate shot minus all the gate clutter, especially when its an international flight, with the pallets, and all that other stuff though, isn't it?

Hi Sean,

I agree with everything F9Widebody said. I noticed one more thing though. You shot this at LAX but uploaded as LHR. Nice palm trees in London Big grin

Yup, and that's why you'll see very few gate shots here. Not that I agree with the policy, but that's just how it goes.

If you find a plane that's just been pushed, is just pulling up, or is just taxiing by, you'll have an easier time getting acceptances.

I noticed that too, but it's got to be some error in the system, as it also says DHL and there is no DHL in his photo.

Regards

Yeah, I overlooked that. Totally different picture. Interesting.

Yup, another case of not using a unique filename.
