I got a picture rejected for baddark and now corrected it. Thanks for your advice on that one! Is it better?

Still a little dark and also grainy for the Emirates 777.

The DHL A300 is not good at all. A lot of compression and jaggy.

You need to work both from scratch again.

Gary

Philippe,

the EK777 is still too dark, especially on the bottom of the fuselage. For the second one, I think the quality is just not there.

Cheers,
Sebastian

OK I took the DHL away, it is definitelty not good enough.
For the Emirates, I'll see what I can do but I'm not very good at lighting edit...

Philippe

Philippe,

I just had a go at the Emirates but it's kind of hard editing the shadows after all the other editing is done already. If you want to, send me the original file to klink2cd@erau.edu

Hi! I'm sorry, I'm at work right now and I don't have it, but I'll do it either tonight if I have a chance or beginning of next week when I get back to Switzerland. All is in my luggage, including my laptop.

Or do you think FlyingZacko's is good? I think it's allright!

Thanks loads for your help mates, I really appreciate it!
Cheers!

Philippe

Of course it's not good. I just ran the shadow/highlight effect over the pic a little in about 10 seconds worth of work, just to demonstrate what the photo is capable of being, once reworked.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Hi all

Yes, Sebastian has the right idea but the original needs to be worked on and not the already processed shot. Sebastian knows this too.

Just let us know when you arrive back home and we can have a look at it. This is a nice image and can easily make it onto the database with the correct processing.

Regards

Gary

Hi Philippe

Got my mail too. Thanks for that.

What camera do you use? If Canon, you need to shoot RAW. More on that later.

Regards

Gary

Gary,

I think he is using a Canon 10D, not 100% sure though.

Philippe,

I sent you back the edited version.

Thanks mates!

The camera I use is a Canon 10D and with this pic a 75-300mm USM lens. I shoot Jpg Large as I don't have a big memory card yet. I'm a student and ain't got the $$$ after buying all the material I have now. But when I'll have a 1Gb, I'll probably shoot RAW.

Cheers!
Pipo

PS sorry for late reply. I was travelling yesterday and didn't get to a computer.

I have still to send you the image. Will do this today. I seem to have a queue for people wanting help today  Smile

One thing I noticed about the original, it is quite a bit underexposed. Trying to bring out the detail could be a problem. Will give it my best shot.

Regards

Gary
