Hi,

Last Saturday, I took this photo at ISO-400 just after sunset. I like this shot very much due to the highlighted fuselage by the red sun. However, I have also noticed the quality issue in this shot which was brought by the high ISO setting and the very poor lighting condition then. I'm not quite sure if I should leave it in the queue.

After carefully consideration, I decide to post this thread here, looking for the comments from all of you. If the quality issue will fail this shot, I will pull it out of the queue in order to save screener's effort and time and keep my acceptance ratio from going down 2% as well.

Hey Hongyin, long time no.....see, hear, speak.....whatever. I love the color of the shot, but you are right to question it some. I just don't feel it is crisp like I am used to seeing from you. If it were mine I'd pull it. Good luck in making the hard decision.

What a nice reflections! I don't see grain at all... My only 'but' goes for the distance... Looks rather far, as if you'd cropped a lot the pic. Not a lot of detail in it. I hope you know what I mean...

Thank you for your comments! The problems identified by both of you may be all caused by the ISO setting and nonideal lighting. Too bad! ashamed

Hongyin and I have discussed this shot together. I think the lighting and those reflections are lovely, but I just cannot be confident the overall quality will be acceptable to the screeners, even for a dusk shot. I don't think the distance is a problem myself.

One for the 'artistic' category?

I'd have to agree with most of the comments above, the quality is just not there, hell of a nice shot though. I think this maybe for the personal collection.

Thank you, Fergul and Paul! Is there any way to further improve this shot in order to make it acceptable? Or, what more should I pay attention or improve when photographing at dusk?
