Motive Question

Got this rejected.

Quality isn't great which is the result of a dull day and the rejection itself did not surprise me until I received the email.
These photo(s) show a motive that is not accepted by Airliners.net....
I don't want to argue the rejection as I don't care about it but just looking for some info to prevent future mistakes.

Because I would like to learn what's wrong with this motive.
Some time soon this engine will be put back in place and of course I will be around to shoot it.
Also I would like to upload one or two if I know what engine motive is acceptable otherwise I am wasting everybody's precious time including my own.

Ok, sorry Aviopic. Just trying to add some humour and failed.

My first thoughts when I look at the pic are that I think it is poorly cropped (framed), secondly, the sky is too 'white' and thirdly there are obvious signs of grain around the engine.

Just my opinion. I do love the shot, but I just don't think the quality is there.

MyAviation.net takes those shots. Personally I don't want to start seeing pictures of airplane parts unassembled. Where would you draw the line on what is and isn't acceptable?

"Here is a screw from the upper anti-collision light" or "this is the nut behind the stick...." Oops, we already have pilot pictures on here. Well, you get the drift.........

The line can be drawn at the same allocations as we already do for any other shot in the DB motive has to be clear and precise.
Maybe a lot wont mind it maybe a lot will.
Just an opinion for the future if this site decides it wants to inject new material into the Db.
Sooner or later people will cry out for something fresh to see what better example can we suggest then a tech or artistic category .
