Yes, its a truly amazing photo. Luckily I had the distinct honor of standing next to him when he took it, it was truly a site to see!

Quoting Ander (Reply 3): I hope I can find some time to visit that spot next time I fly to ORD.

Corey,
Yes, I mean I'll have to find some time to get to MDW, as ORD does not seem very photog friendly. How is public transportation to get to MDW from downtown Chicago? Thanks,
Ander

CTA Orange Line ("El"), runs between the loop (downtown) and its final stop is MDW, normally about a 25 minute ride. Very easy.

Quoting LHRsunriser (Reply 9): It's a great picture, just a shame he chose to put the A.net banner right in the middle.
OK if you had any idea how many times I've seen my own photos used in presentations made to me - you would understand why I watermarked this image (and I didn't use "very faint" either). You would be appalled if you knew how many a.net photos are used by the airlines and service companies worldwide. Thousands of images are stolen weekly - and no I'm not exaggerating. I've shown proof of this to other a.netters. Internal memos, quality reports, reliability reports, delay reports, web sites, internal web sites, intranets, sales brochures, corporate introductions - ALL of these publications contain images from a.net.
And no, I'm not even kidding about it - someone really did pitch a deal to me in DFW, they made this big bound notebook demonstration, full of colorful pictures and graphs, trying to get me to partner with them. What they didn't know is that I took SEVERAL of the photos in their brochure, and I told them about it. Needless to say they were quite embarrassed, having stolen my own pictures to pitch a merger deal to me.
PROTECT YOUR IMAGES!
We did NOT merger, or form a partnership with them. I don't care for their business ethics (or lack thereof).
As for the kind words about this photo - thank you all - I really enjoyed taking that image. Look for more uploads from that spot soon - not just from me, but from my pal Charlie (Syncmaster). He had a shot from there rejected, but I think we can rework it and reupload it.
