1st pic is a little backlit and may get badquality.
2nd pic has that fence in the shot and may also get badquality.
3rd pic looks like it may have been shot through a window and will get badmotive since the jetway blocks the whole front of the aircraft. If you would have waited till pushback you could have gotten a nice side on. I think I see reflections from the window, can't be sure.
Good shots though, keep shooting! Hey I will be driving through Amarillo one day next week. Is your airport good for early morning stuff?

very, i was there at 6:30 am to take these , it is a great airport, also, that ISNT a window glare on WN, thats reflection from sun hitting top, which hit the bottom making it look like a glare, kind of a mirror affect.
also, be sure and head out around AMA and get some pics of old/abandoned a/c like the pan am i took, we have about 20 piedmonts, 3 ltus , and more!

Size is also a factor. If you are going to upload at 1024 pixels wide, be sure to make it a 3:2 crop or a 4:3 crop. That would make your pictures 1024X683 or 1024X768. For shot #2 there is no point in making it 800 pixels tall. You already have the aircraft at 1024, and you will cut out some fence and sky if you reduce it to 683. Good luck in the future, keep practicing, it's the only way to improve.

Well 6:30 works for me. How far is AMA from Interstate 40? I will be in one the motel 6's so I can shoot out for an hour of shooting and get back on 40 and shake some dust. This could be a great little spotting trip.

I-40 goes Straight through AMA , and it also has cheaper hotels that are close to the airport that are cheaper then motel 6, stay at the camelot inn , looks like a castle and has tons of rooms. 25.99 a night. also while your at the airport, first, you either a ) shoot through the glass , or b) drive around airport property, shoot over the fence (great view) . good breakfast cafe there too, also, when you walk into the concourse, you can go left or right, dont go left, that wing is closed, no airline flies there, and its fixing to enter remodel in february. go towards the right, even without going through security you can see a great view of the planes.
I will tell you anything else you need to know!

also it varies, we can get 7 flights an hour or 20 flights an hour, normally in the morning we will get 10 flights or so an hour, but the thing is , the amarillo sunrise is beautiful , thats why some people think my aa eagle pic is fake

also, we have a huge runway , 13502x300 ft (which is actually a landing site for the shuttle) but, if i may reccomend, it is very hard to get pix of the airlines taking off/landing on that runway, the concourse view is about 1/3 of the runway, if you can, get pics of the airlines taxiing to their gates, ten times easier . also, i think if you get a pic of great lakes aviation (Beech 1900s) it will be the first great lakes on the database at AMA (which im assuming it makes it like the rest of your pics ) heres a few instructions/pix to lead you in the right direction
1. park in the garage etc.
2. you park on first floor, walk in the door to the airport, and go straight up the escalator on your right, if your on the second floor, then just walk in
3.walk past the baggage checking areas (to your left, you walk right by to your right)
4. then just walk straight , you should see a gift shop and a cafe close.
5. once youve reached the cafe/gift shop you are there, heres what it should look like
(also, those seats arent moldy , thats just a quality issue with that pic )
you should see a statue of rick husband
and if you look to your left you should see
(which like i said will soon be remodeled into concourse b)
thanks for the respect, enjoy your spotting! i know i did! but you have editing skills, your pics will actually be GOOD!
p.s welcome to my ru list as well, hope you enjoy amarillo!

wednesday forecast- windy and sunny high 60
thursday forecast- sunny 62
cracker barrel, great choice
also, you will see many advertisements coming into town for the big texan (very very famous steakhouse) saying free 72oz steak, well, get your magnifying glass, in about size 10 font below that it says if eaten in one hour.
still, good food.
if your looking for a hotel with a bed and tv and a bathroom (the basics) red roof inn, econo lodge, and camelot inn are really close to airport and about 25$ a night.
like i said try and get a pic of Great lakes!! it will be the first one in the db at AMA! also, WN,great lakes, AA , and CO are only airlines here . total we average 300 flights a day (about half commercial) . tons of good spotting areas here too.
what else would you care to know? (hint im bored tonight ill help you with anything about AMA and area)

I will stay at one of those motels! I am hoping to get in to AMA with some light left so I can check out the airport before dinner. I have seen that Steakhouse but never went in. I usually hit Cracker Barrel for breakfast but try not to eat too big a dinner.
I am going to shoot anything good that morning! I have a limited time to shoot so the shutter will be going non-stop!
If you bored come get me on AIM, my sn is the same as my username here, I am in front of my computer going through all the shots I took at JFK Tuesday.
