Hi,
I am planning a small trip to Florida in April to go to Sun n Fun as well as do some spotting at TPA etc.
While I am out there I might just get the overwhelming urge to purchase a D200 How easy is it to get one out there? Are they in better supply than over here? And if so, where is the best place to go? I bought my D70 in Chicago in one of Ritz Cameras stores, and saved quite a bit on the UK price
I will be in Tampa, staying at the Holiday Inn near Busch Gardens from 6th to 10th April if anyone fancies a beer or three.

As with most sites/stores, the D200 is sold-out. While I haven't really gone crazy looking for one, everywhere I've tried so far is out-of-stock. I'm sure after they fill all of the pre-orders/waiting lists with first, second and third (maybe more) shipments it'll be available. April should be fine, I guess?

Thanks for the link TACA but all of those outlets are either "Ships when received from manufacturer", "Sold-out", "Not-available", "Out-of-stock" or "Pre-order".

Just make sure you have it around your neck coming through customs, not in the box in your hand luggage.

TACA, LMAO! Thanks mate. Dont ya just love sales phone lines? About as helpful as dried frog pills!
I'll just hope when I go there that someone has a D200 available. I mean, what is life without hope?
And if I dont get one, well, I still have my trusty D70 for the airshow and I dont have to explain to the wife why my credit card repayments have suddenly soared

Quoting Skidmarks (Reply 13): No worries Tim, I wouldn't dream of cheating HMG out of their cut! ...............Much!
Andy, seriously you are liable to pay import duty and VAT on arrival at customs. If you post it home, you are also likely not only to get stung for that, but have a Post Office handling fee of £60 to pay on top. Take this into account when you're costing it all out

Basically Wolf and Ritz are the same as you may know. But what it's important is that the availability at these specific retailers will be in about 4 weeks or sooner.
