@Maiznblu_757:
do you know if by any chance there is going to be an F-14 Tomcat display anywhere in the U.S. or elsewhere this year!!
I've never seen one and I couldn't make it to Oceana last year!

No demo. The F-14's should participate in the fleet fly-by during the 06 Oceana show. The Tomcat Sunset event will take place a couple weeks after the show, will probably be golf tournament, retirement ceremony, stuff like that.

Hi there! First Post here!
Upcoming airshows for me: (in France of course)
June:
3/4th Ferte Alais (it would be the first time, I hope I can get full access)
11th Orleans Air Force Base
18th Colmar Air Force Base (extended access should be obtained, hopefully)
For those wondering, I'm off work in June this year... I'm not always this available for airshow every month unfortunately.
July:
2nd Cambrai Air Force Base (ok, I like Air Force Bases' Airshows)
8th Vichy Air Show (invited by the organisers but I don't know if I'll make it)
August:
nothing really planned right now and plenty of work that month
September:
10th Roanne Air Show - An absolute no-miss! I'm the official photographer!
I'm suppose to design the poster on the show too. cooooool
Maybe also the 10th Hazebrouck Ballon show in May as photographer (flight in ballon mandatory).
Geez couldn't I just be a full time photographer in summer time???!!!
Any other French Airliners around?

2004 was an interesting year in Wisconsin for major air show acts. There was Blue Angels AND Thunderbirds, in fact twice Blue Angels performances in the State of Wisconsin! And the T-Birds also in chicago, only an hour over the state line!
Not so in 2006.
For me, I am guessing that the July 4th weekend would be a good one. Traverse City followed by Battle Creek - I can drive between both plus get some time in at the Grand Rapids and Traverse City airports. Hey Chad, maybe I'll see you there!

Bruce,
That would be cool. We can discuss closer to that time. I'll be around the Traverse City Airport and downtown quite a bit. Just a note, the Snowbirds will only be performing at BTL on the 4th only.

Only going to the KLu (Royal Dutch AF) open days at Leeuwarden, blue angels being the main reason. Furthermore I've wanted to shoot at an airshow for some time now, and this is a cheap option. Another option is the Koksijde (Belgium) airshow, but I don't know if they do it this year (does someone know?)

If I remain in London over the summer (I may have the opportunity to do a summer research project at KCL Guy's Hospital campus), I would love to attend Farnborough 2006!
Do you think the A380 will be there? I hope so--it would be my first sighting of it!
