aloha andy  Smile I know and it is obvious that the D200 produces great stuff ... , but for me it came down to just 1 thing: I want to have a fast around 400mm lens to check out new angles and spots mainly around ZRH ...

Yet another person switching to Canon because of the strengths of the 100-400 over the 80-400. Nikon needs to do something about that.

I ve been waiting and waiting, enough is enough ... Nikon is bringing tons of new bodys and after they brought the 18-200mm recently - I quited. Been using Nikon all my life. From time to time unpopular decisions have to be taken ...

Cue Nikon releasing the 80-400 AF-S at PMA this month!!

hehe, no I dont think that will happen... I suppose Nikon dont want to compete with their own 200-400... which is a lovely lens but oh so expensive.

what seems to be the officer, problem?
