A personal note of congratulations to my A.net friend and colleague John Allan, who has recently passed the milestone of 1000 photos accepted to the site.
If you want to see a really varied portfolio of aviation images I strongly suggest that you take a look at John's photos here.
Not only does John continue to take and upload a great selection of photographs - always of a high quality - he is a real gentleman, always willing to help out. Over the months that we have been in contact he has provided me with unfailing support and encouragement with my own photos, and I couldn't wish for a more coherent and honest critique of my own images. I am sure I am not on my own in recognising the helpful and informative input that John also contributes to this Forum.
Well done John on this achievement - I look forward to many more, and many more conversations.

Paul (and Others),
Many thanks for your kind comments. My shots are not, and probably never will be, the most exciting or technically outstanding pictures on A.Net but I really enjoy photographing aircraft and it is nice to share the end results.
This said I do not think I would have reached the 1000 picture mark without the help of Paul Markman. I have learned a great deal about digital editing from him and without his help my acceptance rate would be much lower than it is.
As I have a liking for all types of aircraft the variety of subject matter I submit to A.Net will certainly continue to be varied - I just want to be able to improve the quality as well !
Thanks again and good luck to ALL A.Net photographers
