How do you suppose he decided on how to crop it? I would not have chanced it...all that mountain on the right side. But it worked.

Awesome work Flo! Dynamite pic. The mountain really makes the picture, gets your eye off that horrible color scheme!  biggrin

As for the crop, Flo knows that landscape, he really got a great view of the mountain and the 738 rotating out.

The old tried rule of thirds and the diagonal leading into the shot.
Just the way it should be.
Great shot!

Thanks for your compliments.

In fact, the photo is almost the frame I shot, cropped by only about 10% I'd say.
I had this motive in mind for quite some time, but as 757's look ugly from this angle, the 738 is just perfect. Wouldn't be the same without winglets, and I have to disagree with Nick, I like the new HV colors.  Smile

Glad the photo made it in... can you say NOA center? Thanx Crew.

Cheers,
F.

Your right about that, the make the photo complete !

I'm glad the screeners have an eye for this kind of photo's and didn't reject it on bad crop. Keep it up !

Wonderful shot!

The 738 looks just perfect and the hole picture is probably the best I've seen from INN. Just serves me to remind me to go there. ASAP.

 Smile

Luis

Great shot! There's no better way to describe Innsbruck (aviation-wise) and it make me really very impatient to go there as well!

I must say that I also prefer such kind of shots - the view of the photographer - over the ones that only show aircraft which are totally cropped and centered... I don't think this composition can be improved, well done!

Best regards,

Walter

Um, was it deleted?

I have to say, I was shocked to see such a great photo on display at this restrictive website. It clearely breaks the "rules". I guess the screener who accepted it has a mind of his own!

You gotta dare if you want to go past the stage of being Anetters and become photographers.

Exactly.

Very nice, Flo  Smile
