I wanted to buy a second hand Canon EF-S 10-22MM F/3.5-4.5 USM for my Canon 10D. To my great surprise, this lens does not fit? I thought a Canon lens is a Canon lens .. appearently not.
Can someone shed a light on where to look for if I want a second hand lens for my 10D ? any specifics?

Depending upon what you do, you may or may not like the 10-22. I have it, and like it, but there's a lot of 'bang for the buck' in that equation, mainly, that I got a 20D for $800 and the lens for like $600, as compared to a 5D for $3,000 and the 14mm EF lens for $1500+
At lengths less than 14mm the lens does distort significantly.
I do a lot of indoor work, so the lens works for me, and I can live with the distortion. If that would be an issue, you have to go to the spherically correct 14mm EF lens, although, if not mounted on a 5D/1Ds it'll end up effectively being very long.

Quoting Paparadzi (Reply 5): An EF-S lens will fit only a Canon APS-C (1.6 crop) cameras. However the 10D is an exception because it was conceived before Canon had the EF-S lens.
Like the D30 and D60, they don't accept them eighter.
