Can I Avoid Info And Motive Rejection?

Hi all,
I'm a bit unsure about the following pic:
http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/C-GOOZ.jpg

First of all, INFO: the drop-down said Skyservice Airlines. However, this plane clearly has the Signature Vacations logo as well. So should it be
- Skyservice Airlines - (the autofill option)
- Skyservice Airlines (Signature Vacations) - (analog to many other Skyservice variants)
or
- Signature Vacations (Skyservice Airlines) - which I chose after re-reading the whole Special/Hybrid thread we had here a few weeks ago.

I did not check special or hybrid tickboxes neither.

Secondly, motive: I surely hope the grass and fence are fine here? It's a rare plane, rare airport and I honestly don't think that the grass or fence distract the view, but of course that's just my biased opinion...

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi,

it is a hybrid because this is not Skyservice's livery, it belongs to First Choice Airways. I would not even worry about the Signature Vacations sticker but you can call it Skyservice (Signature Vacations) but make sure you tick the "hybrid" box.
I think the fence kind of warrants a motive rejection.

But I thought that the "travel agent stickers" specifically should NOT be hybrid...

That's not the reason for hybrid.
This is Skyservice's c/s:

This is First Choice but Skyservice bought or leased some 757's and never repainted them.

Ah. Thanks for the info, Ivan! I must have misread your original reply. Thanks again.

Any other views on the motive part from anyone?

It should be HYBRID the basic c/s is of First Choice Airways with Skyservice titles.

I would agree that the fence is rather distracting.

And I'm very happy it didn't get a bad_fence rejection...

Quoting Edoca (Reply 7):

Why should it.
It doesn't block any part of the plane, and it gives depth to the image!

Nice shot.

My thoughts exactly, but in the minds of many, fences are a difficult issue in terms of motive. I guess it's to be judged individually for each picture.

Thanks for your comment Stefan.

Hi all...

I would like to come back one last time to my old thread here... Today I had a rejection for motive for a pic taken from almost the same location as the shot shown above. Similarly, it showed the airport fence...

I've never been a believer in the Appeal function, but today I did it again, thinking I had a good argument in saying that it wasn't really consistent to reject today's picture because it had a fence in it, while last week's was accepted with the same fence in the picture.

Despite my fear, the appeal was successful. All my previous appeals had always been rejected for the same or even more reasons as the original rejection, which was something I actually started to believe was the rule - appeal a pic and it will just get rejected again. I know that's not true but I think I'm not the only one here sometimes experiencing it that way...

So I guess I just want to say thanks for looking at the picture again, and listening to my arguments. And I will actually take trust the appeals process more... And to my fellow uploaders, keep smiling and when you think you have a good case to appeal, don't hesitate, it will work when justified. I know all of this continues to depend on the fact that it's humans rather than machines that are taking a look at your particular picture, but the process can work. I don't want to get any favours from anyone by saying this, but I think it is good to mention things that work well.

That's all folks!

(ps If you want to see the appeal-accepted pic, I'm not going to plug it here, but you can see it by looking for pics from St Kitts & Nevis, the beautiful Caribbean twin islands).
