I think I have two distinct problems: the first one was shot on an overcast day (trying to get the maximum smoke kicking up) and the second is my first attempt at the silver birds of AA. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Hi Damon!
I'm afraid the first one does not have a chance because it is blurry, especially around the rear - better pull this one from the queue!
The second photo is much better in terms of quality, I dont see a problem with the way the AA silver turned out.
Anyway, I would rotate it a bit ccw until the poles and buildings in the back are vertical and center the aircraft better with a different crop. The plane is a bit low in the frame now.
I think you won't have a problem getting the second photo into the database once the two issues above have been solved.

Thanks for the thoughts.
That's too bad about the BA. That tail design looks out of focus when it's sharp even, let alone from across the tarmac.
Also, thanks for the thoughts on the AA/NK planes. I actually lined up the shots vertically aligned to the hangar doors. I think those poles are actually not vertical, or I'm suffering some barrel distortion. I didn't want to put the two planes higher in the shot because the concrete roadway below the frame is uninteresting and distracting. Do you think I can leave it there, working by the rule of thirds?

Quoting D L X (Thread starter): I have these two shots in the queue, and I'd love some advice on improving them.
I would open up your lens a stop, and/or just slow your shutter down a bit. They are somewhat dark.

Bad news, good news and bad news about the first shot: the bad news is it is blurry. The good news is it is not my fault. The bad news is I just had to put my camera in the shop for a hardware focussing problem. $270. Ouch.
So, basically, all my shots are blurry, but the ones where I could fill up the frame don't suffer so much when I scale them down.
So, the BA767 is getting removed.
As for the other one, I straightened it as per your suggestions. I've also made two versions, one with EC +1 and one the way it is. Which do you think I should upload?

Now, I rotated it as you all suggested, and the screener still says CCW rotation needed. How much? I still think that if you're basing it off the light poles in the background, the whole shot will be unlevel. Those poles are not vertical. What to do?
