Hi there... I've been trying to crop photos lately and everytime I move the mouse near the side of the screen on photoshop, the image slides off the screen which is incredibly frustrating since I can't get crop while it does this... If anyone here knows how to turn this off PLEASE let me know

It's driving me insane

K Thanks Brendan

When you open an image in Photoshop, it has a frame around it.

You need to take it out of the frame. Just double-click on the image and you should be fine.

just tried that... It's when I'm working in full screen mode

The main problem is when I'm cropping or using "Gradient Tool" - When I drag the mouse to near the edge of the screen, The image flies off the other side and I can't see it anymore and I can't drag it back, I've almost punched the computer several times

Hmmm, I never had that problem, but I never use the Gradient tool.

Maybe someone else can help?

Duble-click the hand tool before you crop.

Try unchecking the 'Snap' feature. It could be this.

Not sure where it is again but it's under 'View' (I think ) in the toolbar.

Brendan I know what you mean exactly, it slides off in breakneck speed.

I've found no way of turning the fudging thing off but what I do is just select the whole image with the crop tool, then press CTRL + 0 to get it centered again, then hold CTRL while dragging the little transparent boxes to get the crop I want.

If you want to keep aspect hold down SHIFT while dragging (and try ALT to shrink it from all sides) Perhaps u already knew this though.

what seems to be the officer, problem?

Tried that, Didn't work (Btw, I love your DPS Scenery for Fs9)

Tried that before posting this, didn't change anything (I think when you're cropping, It stops it from jumping to the edge when you're like 5 pixals in from the edge)

Errr... I want to be able to stop it sliding around the place all together

What really really annoys me is that I'm using a touchpad on a laptop so It's uber touchy and drives me bonkers to say the least - I've only started using Photoshop recently to make logos for my Virtual Airline and I started using it not knowing what did what and pretty much picked up the basics, The advances stuff I havn't gone near yet... If I can't figure out how to stop this "sliding" issue I'm going to give up all together...

I have fireworks on this computer and havn't touched it yet... I'm getting curious about it though...

Anyway, Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts...

Brendan
