Would you go for a Canon lens and a Nikon body?

I would experiment with a D2X and a 70-200 f2.8 L IS USM .
What a combo.

Just get a Nikon 70-200/f2.8 AF-S ED VR and have fun. Probably one of the best non-prime 35mm SLR's pieces of glass out there.

If you could stick a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS on a Nikon body I'd be all for it. When will Nikon put AF-S on the 80-400 VR?!

I think that is why they brought out the Nikkor AF-S VR 200 - 400 mm F4 G IF-ED as they already have the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF to cover the shorter focal lengths. Still they have stoped manufacturing all but two film cameras so maybe they have resources to look at something new in that range?
