If manipulation was ever justified at Airliners.net, this would have to be the situation.

Who was the idiot that put a billboard for a Funeral Parlour right at the rotation point near one of Australias best view sites!!!

Cheers

Chris

Yeah, a pretty annoying sign, but I think it's been changed since that photo was taken. Anyway, it's only one more annoyance at that spot, with all the fences and light poles in the way.

Q, you think? since 11:26 this morning?
No you are right they cycles signs on that billboard fairly regularly, I think last time I was there it was some kind of beer.
And yes along with fences, lightpoles and now shipping containers--

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 683 File size: 207kb

The famous "Tower Mound" at SYD is rapidly losing it's allure for photographers(this one anyway!!)

Its better than the mint ad that was on that billboard during the spotting weekend with the bloke pulling a stupid face! I wouldn't be complaining about the shipping containers, I'd be jumping on top of it and then the fence and probably the poles would no longer be an issue!

Ian, that would be a good plan but the container is inside that fenced storage compound between the mound and the Taxiway

I noticed that billboard on some other shots posted in here a few weeks ago and passed comment.

It seems a bit strange having a "lifestyle" advert for a funeral parlour full stop, as it's not something that you'd tend to see over here.

Regards,

Tim.

Ah sorry, you're right! Embarrassment I just remembered most recently seeing the mint one that Knighty mentioned.

Well that sucks! Are you still able to get into the Radar field?

I'm not sure the exact situation, but there are often construction workers there, at least on weekdays. Weekends may be ok in that regard, but I'm not sure if the airport safety officers like people spotting there.
