I'm just not very sure about this pic.
I like the pic and wanted to upload it i have some others from the sequence but i liked this one as it shows some activity around the beach.
It has some things I'm doubtful about .
The tower being cut the people on the beach and the sun reflection on the metal plate behind the aircraft.
Are any if all these things going to assist me in getting a rejection .?
and boy have i had some lately just want to be sure and slow the rejection rate down a little.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,

I actually like it. The fence around the nose is possibly too close for comfort. I know you've leveled it with the tower in the background but the aircraft looks like its need CCW rotation. Also the tower being cut off might warrant a motive rejection. But its not distracting in any way for me. The people are not an issue for me, they arent recognisable.

Lets see what the others think.

Colin believe it or not the runway slopes down from left to right and is very much visible when you look at it sometimes i think the runway is slowly sinking into the water at the far right side.
Thanks for the quick comment appreciated.

Personally I don't think any of these single factors warrants a rejection. But I do think the pic on the whole is a bit awkward, with the nose only just clearing the fence.

Yeh the fence doesn't help matters and if its distracting i might have to give the shot the flick.

No need to ignore the comment Colin your comments are always valued to me .
Plus its a good observation by you.

It does look a bit awkward with the building on the left. I would pull it.  Smile

Jim,

I think it's a great looking shot...it's always nice to get a fresh perspective or a bit of a "different" looking photo than the "usual" A.Net shot. I think this one has that look and feel with the people on the beach and the beach itself. Don't pull it!

tons, then leave a little more space to the right of the aircraft to make the crop equal. then id say that takes away the possibility of bad motive.

Greetings, overall good photo but an uncomfortable fence (in my opinion!). There are not too many beach pictures on a.net except for those out of St. Maarten-Princess Juliana Int'l - TNCM Netherlands Antilles.

But might open the door for a distance rejection ?

Its refreshing to do something different that's why i chose this shot i have plenty of the same aircraft from the sequence without the people and the tower in them but i chose this one for this reason.

That is the sticking point for me at the moment .

well, dont open it Terribly much, maybe an inch or less. otherwise its bad_Center. but that fence shouldnt be a problem, look at some of the runway shots, they block half the view almost. they got in (no not 59 years ago ) 1/2 a year ago too. i just say recrop and a small tad of recentering, id be glad to provide an edit example if i could see the original. As always id be glad to help. Its a great shot with great potential

I personally think it sums up that area of Sydney Airport. People on the beach, aircraft moving every which way. I'd leave it there - The fence may be a bit in the way, but its not covering any of the aircraft so its safe in that regard.
I've seen more distracting shots with fences than this one. If it were me, I'd leave it and see.

Jim, it would be a serious shame if you pulled the shot from the Queue. It's not the standard "Hey look dudes... IT'S AN AIRPLANE!" shot that we see so often. Derr of course it's an airplane this is airliners.net...show us something different maybe?

You have done just that. You took an airplane and placed it in it's element. It's right above the beach, it's behind the fence, in front of the tower, on the runway, at the airport, at SYD. Leave it in.

9V- Your shot is nice too, just needs a little CW judging by the leaning tower of SYD.

A pretty good summary Eric.

Looks perfect to me. Just not sure if it's 100% level though (although it looks ok to me). I'll leave that upto you.
