Hey,

I got a few photos rejected saying that:

These photos have already been added to the database or you have previously added photos that look very much like these.

Well, I have photos of other 727 cockpits but NOT this plane, the reg number is different so what gives? It doesn't matter that it's a different plane?

why should it matter? A 727 interior is a 727 interior. If it were a different subtype or the colour of the cupholder were different that might be of interest...

Actually, it is a 727-2A7, something I don't have ONE picture of.

It still remains that the photos have never been added and no photos look very much like them.

How can a photo of plane X look like plane Y? Regardless that it's a flight deck shot.

They are different.

Right, and what about those pics when I look at the new ones, where the person was standing in the same place taking pics and there are a few of the same type of aircraft, with the same exact trees behind it, or clouds or whatever it may be..but different tail numbers, those make it in...

Oh well, that is life.....the only thing I can suggest is that you e-mail Johan and if the picture is really that interesting convince him to add it to the database........

Good luck.

Actually I just think I got a crappy screener.

Also Vasco, are any pics really that interesting? Only a handful of photographers here do take interesting photos(you are one) as opposed to 50 million planes taking off on the same runway with the same trees in the background.

I am just going with the grain submitting boring pictures after boring pictures as I don't have the hardware nor the means to take interesting ones.

I also got one pic of a SR A332 on finals rejected, saying, that I had already uploaded the same aircrafdt (same reg) from the same spot. But I NEVER EVER uploaded a pic of a SR A332 whatsoever.

That's life

I think Jared's photo should be added. There are so many really duplicate or similar pictures in the db. How do the screeners and Johan know if you already have a similar (not exactly the same but a different reg.) in the db if you don't upload both at the same time. I mean Vasco's picture is something you don't forget if you see it once but a 727 cockpit.... If you upload it again in a few weeks it'll be accepted. I don't think they go through all your pics in order to see if you already have such type of pic.

Vasco - i'd say the one of the 727 was rejected because, its an interesting angle, but one which you can only take once, as in a one off (clever EGGD  Big grin).

I mean, its a great pic but once you have more than one of that angle it makes it less original and one off.

Well, thats my opinion on why it got rejected anyway  Smile

Dan
