I was honestly annoyed with this rejection BECAUSE I waited 12 days for these photos to get screened eventhough I got first class membership. I know we don't get ours screened before anyone else, but 12 days?

No harm meant towards Sam Lambert, but when this photo wasn't accepted because of Dirt, why was his?
Again no harm meant towards Sam. I just find it unfair... because to me, that photo looks "dirty".

Christel, you have a dust spot in the middle of the frame below the E in your AIRLINERS.NET watermark. It's right below the E on the Emirates, and a little further down on the Iberia. Are you using Photoshop, or another editor?
As for the BA, I like the shot, but it's too big. Try scaling the original down to 1024 px wide before uploading it. (You might also want to hit it with the unsharp mask tool after you resize it. I usually use 400%, 0.2 radius, 0 threshold.)
I'll let someone else help you with the motive one. I get smacked around by that one sometimes too. (Don't get frustrated though - I can tell you, it doesn't help.)

In the first pic you seem to have cropped on the right hand side right along a red vertical line on the pushback tug - just crop it slightly tighter. It also looks like it needs just a touch of CCW rotation. GREAT shot though"

The DIRTY rejection isn't about a dirty plane, but rather a dirty image, most likely dust spots. If you're using a DSLR, you're going to eventually run into a dust spot problem - it's just a fact of life. Use your image editing program to remove those spots.
That's why Sam's shots of the same planes were accepted when yours were not - his have had any dust spots repaired.

Quoting Christeljs (Thread starter): No harm meant towards Sam Lambert, but when this photo wasn't accepted because of Dirt, why was his?
Because it shows a rare angle for LHR, as the saying goes, the rarer the shot etc etc. Its quality is by far not the best i've got in my collection but I loved the rare oppurtunity I gained from rotation point. Also, there was a dust spot on previously which I removed at the screeners request. I then put it back in the queue, you just have to have patience now.
Also, your BA shot is too light and too large, try resizing and toning down lightness of it.
I was angry about this rejection, an angle supposedly not accepted on here though a saw it a week or so back yet I don't feel the need to come in here and have a rant picking some other photographer to compare to. Yes, i'm fed up too with the wait time but I respect screeners are doing their best, you just have to deal with it.

Sam, I never meant any harm as Ive said twice. It was more a photo comparassion rather than photographer comparasson. And we all do compare photos...well a lot of us. I thought I found a "dirty photo" so I compared it. Yes I admit it. Sorry . .
