Hi folks. Just received some rejections. Looks like I'm collecting them, In know...
Please tell me your thoughts about it. Keep in mind the shots where taken from non public places and that I tried to get you guys something special.
Don't get me wrong you hard working screeners (or should I say rejectors?). You prevented me uploading some real stupid pics on my earlier days. But those aren't that bad...
rejecting reasons:quality motiv
Is it too boring??? What is wrong with the quality? Too bright?
rejecting reasons:quality
Maybe you're right on this one
rejecting reasons:quality motiv personal centered
Come on guys! The quality looks ok to me. Personal??? We have a lot of pics with waving pilots! And you cannot make out the face for to identify him! And in what is out of center on this pic???

Lufthansi,
Doing things differently is not always good, it can be, but isn't on the top photo. The angle is uninteresting and the nosewheel off to the left is chopped in half. the image is either grossly undersharpened or slightly out of focus to my eye.
N0 2 the contrast and saturation is too high and the image is oversharpened a touch
No 3
The nose needed to be nearer the right side of the frame which would have also removed the distracting light object on the right edge. The motive is the Hanghai logo chopped in half. The personal means that the screener sent you a message, but you did not apparently scroll down to read it. Rejections for recognisable persons are people
N0 4 is a lovely image and I really like it. It is a bit soft and could also be rejected for distance or centreing, though I like it as it is. You do seem to have a distracting hot pixel, or perhaps a few, in the smoke that should be cloned out if resubmitting

That is a landing plane there. Sure I can clone it but that's reality...
Thanks for your reply! I didn't thought that people will look at the nosewheel of the T7... Ok I'll keep that in mind next time! Shanghai is chopped. That's sad. You're right.

I guess that is rather like the distant bird that looks like a dust spot, better to be removed than taken as such. I would be inclined to remove it as if I thought it was a hot pixel, others could easily do the same.

Ive also noticed many good shots of mine being rejected, MANY here. And just when my acceptance rate was betteer. Its really many times, sad to get confiramtion emails because so many pics I want to share with the rest of the people, are rejected.A bit dis-ilusioning. I like a.net, but so many good ones down the drain. Maybe more screeners should come in? that way, all the photos in the qeue can be viewed in a more detailed way, and not rush through them. therefore the qeue moves on.

If the fault is there, the fault is there - it won't matter how many people screen the picture or how detailed a look is given, the result will be the same: rejection.
There's one thing that anet can't be accused of, and that is rushing through the queue

Quoting PUnmuth@VIE (Reply 6): NOA_personal means tht the screener left a personal not on this rejection, this message appears at the end of the rejection mail.

I've taken the liberty of making a crop, selective sharpen and selective lightening of Lufthansi's 747 dustcloud shot.
I'd be interested in any comments from Lufthansi, or anyone else for that matter.

Well I see the improvements but maybe this one would get a rejection due to format? If we cut the yellow line and a bit of the sky it returns to wallpaper format. Too much quadratic look isn't good for a.net. Anyway. Look at my thread "Do you like this one"... I reworked the pic too.
