Can I Improve On This Rejection?

What should I do to make this better (quality dark and jaggies)? All suggestions welcome!

I know that the quality is not very good, but I liked the motive of the double diamond formation...

PS: This one was processed before I discovered JeffM's tutorial about Masks and Actions, so, that will be the first to do. But what I am after is about the general idea of the picture, is it worth showing to others?

The image is a great composition but the quality just isnt there for anet. It looks like it's been cropped a lot which has taken away from the iamge.

I think this one could be for the personnal collection only!

It shouldn't be too hard to fix. Just tackle each item you mention one at time.
