There's a nice spot right at the threshold of Runway 25R, assuming, of course, that aircraft are landing to the west, which they generally do in summer. If the weather is clear (a stretch this time of year), you can get great approach profile shots with nice mountainous terrain and blue water underneath.
There is parking directly adjacent to this spot as well, and normally there are quite a few locals casting fishing lines over there, and the authorities leave everyone alone.
Chances are you won't be the only one with a camera, also.
Runway 25R is used almost exclusively for arrivals, while 25L is used for departures. The only arrivals on 25L are generally cargo aircraft going to south cargo, so you should be able to capture the majority of airliners landing on 25R.
