Today I drove almost 80 miles to the Air Force museum to catch the last flight of the last C-141 Starlifter ("Hanoi Taxi") to be retired by the US Air Force. I have questions about what to do now.

Fisrt of all, please help me pick which one to submit:

1. Just landed on a closed runway behind the museum.

2. Retiring the last C-141 from US Air Force. Official ceremony is behind the plane.

Since it's the last flight and the official retirement of the type from US Air Force, does this qualify to priority screening?

Thanks for your input!

Regards,

Oleg.

Hi Oleg,

The second one tells the story of the event better I'd say.

Yes I think so. This is specifically mentioned in the help text.

And if this is indeed a recognized 'event', maybe the site likes to have both pics?
It's doubtful if they are baddoubles, anyway.

Upload both. Glad to see your photos. I was hoping to be there but couldn't make the trip. The weather looks wonderful.

I agree with Gary, upload both, because to me both shots tell a story. Excellent images.

Damn noisy, cold, uncomfortable planes to ride in....good riddance!

That said I like #1 better then #2. #2 looks like it could use some more space in front of the nose. And to me it's not level.

It's nice that they accepted the first one.

The problem with #2 is that its horizontal stabilizer goes far back, thus it seems like the plane is not centered. I just tried to include the entire aircraft in the shot. Also the levelling issue: the terrain in this place is really whacky. The hangars in the background are not of uniform height and are also located at an angle to the vewing point. I tried to make the plane look level, but now the hangars are out whack. Check this out.

We'll see if that will be accepted or not. (~crossing fingers~)

The link doesn't work anymore, it's either waiting to be added or got rejected.

Ohio is a hard state to get level images. It is round on the ends and hi in the middle  Smile
