I met a gal half a year ago who happens to be a web designer. Aside from being a great lady who is now my girlfriend, she also shared with me what was a slight interest in aviation.
So I brought her out with the guys one day, and even *gasp* let her take a couple shots with my camera. Great framing from the start, she went home and used her Photoshop talents and edited damned good as well.
I'm excited to say that my girlfriend now has 10 shots in the d/b, all on her own (but with my camera).
I wanted to congratulate her publicly, and share a shot or two of hers with you guys.

Melanie,
Great looking shots! Welcome to A.Net...I'm sure Phil is a great guy to learn from...just don't ever accompany him to any Del Taco establishment in the LAX area...

Oh man. My Del Taco story is spreading. haha
Quoting DLKAPA (Reply 4): honesty is definetly a healthy thing I guess...
I think she's pretty frustrated that she doesn't have a forum account to defend herself here. haha

There is no better way to live its enthusiasm for aviation !!! Your babies will certainly become pilots and at least oneof them will be born when spotting in a runway end

Ian, that is the funniest comment ever!
Phil, you better tag and tranquilize this one so she doesn't get away.

Hey Phil,
please congratulate Mel for me on her great shots since she doesn't have her own forum account yet (well, looking at Ian's comment, maybe that's a good thing, haha). You two take it easy now and hopefully I'll manage to get my lazy ass up to NYC sometime this summer to see you all again.
Regards,
-Omar S.
Never tell your girlfriend about all the 'action' you're getting at the airport - only photogs understand that.

Quoting 9VSPO (Reply 9): My god! That bridge is ENORMOUS!
Well I know another very nice couple just like yourselves, around 300/400 shots on the database between them! And I had the pleasure of a days spotting at MAN with them last Tuesday!

Phil...
Congratulations both of you for the relationship..
Glad to see Mel's sharing photography as a hobby. For the ones who have a couple we know how important is! (Mine hates planes and photography )
About the pics... I'm going to be serious, my fav is the b......blanck and white one..

That is great indeed Phil.. Congrats to Mel
I am pretty lucky too, in that my wife also loves to hang out with us spotters and enjoy the hobby with me. She won't come close to the camera, but I always say you can start spotting with the 300D and we can just get another camera. Cough, Cough 30D

Thank you guys.
As for my girlfriend, she is classified as a 736DD-ER, and those are the extended range fuel tanks.
Quoting TimdeGroot (Reply 18): Badmanipulation: those are probably just a Photoshop job
