Any ideas as to what's wrong with it?

Thanks,
Charles

Maybe the wing and therefore the aircraft should be centred better. I think it's a great view but this site focuses on the aircraft not the view.

It really should be a motive rejection then.

Maybe the visibility isn't considered good enough?

Thanks for the feedback so far. As Peter says, the rejection reason was quality not motive.

Nasty, dark, vignetting, and the entire picture is hazy and grainy.

It's all about the quality of the wing. The focus is to infinity and hence the mountain and background if fine. The wing suffers (and yes, border's on motive).

You aim here was to show us an aircraft's wing as primary and mountain as secondary, not the other way around.

With the focus to infinity, and the wing offset (and hardly in the sweet [read centre] spot), you have a degree of purple fringing with may have also contributed to a NOA_quality.

Glenn
