To all hard core spotter:

at 8:00 it took off from 18West to Johannesburg. Oh man, what a nice bird!

And then:

Actually I gave up hope to catch it because Qantas stopped flying to FRA with the 743 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Thursday is the only day they use the 743 instead of the 744...
at 8:15 TF-ABT ( Air Atlanta L1011) on finals and take-off from 18West 80 minutes later (charter flight to BCN)

We never get anything interesting at AMS. No special liveries apart from BMi's *-livery and Transavia's logobird (and those every day, so hardly special anymore).
The only two rarities recently, one I wasn't there (Beluga) and the other did not get close enough to get a shot (RAM 747-200C)  Sad

I wish I were flying

But it's raining now...

Hello,
Today I got my 1st film back. You can see the pics here:

South African 747 SP, Nalanji Dreaming and Air Atlanta L1011

I will get my 2nd film on Monday with the World DC-10 ex CO, the Tyrolean "SOS Kinderdorf" and the Royal Barge 744. I hope they will turn out very well.

Do you guys like the SA 747 SP? As I said before, it was very early but for me it looks cool in the morning sun...
Do you think I should upload it on a.net?
Screeners: do you think it will have a chance? Thanx!

Regards from FRA
Ivica

Jan: yes, it is. I did never see one and I didn´t hear that there was one for the last three years or so since I started spotting. When did you land on it here?

Konstantin: when did you see the last SAA 747SP here???

Ivica

The last SAA 747SP I shot at FRA was in 98, still in old colors. The new colors have been here occasionally but I've never managed to shoot it, due to the early morning arrival and evening departure.
