Hybrids: Priority Screening?

A quick question - I don't suppose a new hybrid colour ' scheme' warrants priority screening (Transavia/Spicejet)? Did a search, but can't quite find a clear answer.

I caught that one on Sunday and it is not on the site. It went onto the priority screening within a few minutes and has stayed there ever since. I certainly considered it priority but obviously a screener disagreed. I submitted it as a priority as I thought it Newsworthy too and a magazine has accepted it on that basis.

I think I read about priority screening that it won't include such cases.

EDIT: Searched the forum b/c I thought that even Transavia with the every years new hybrids were mentioned but wasn't lucky on finding the thread.

On Sunday it was in full Spicejet colours, right? It is a hybrid now (and a rather odd-looking one).

Yes, a full Spicejet livery. I think I was damned lucky to catch that one. Apparently it should have been in the paintshop but was brought out to cover an aircraft that went tech !
Still a hybrid in the eyes of the site here

Anyway, PH-HZR is in mixed colours now, so the question becomes: does an aircraft in a new mix of two colour schemes possibly warrant priority?

There was a lot of discussion/argument about this a while ago, but that is the rule as it stands. I very much doubt that it would get priority. I thought mine would but in view of me getting mine wrong, I would suspect that yours would go the same way.

A full-livery aircraft which happens to be operating a flight for a different company is certainly not a "hybrid" as this is a regular occurence - every day there are dozens and dozens of flights in this situation. The incident with the Eirjet Airbus which landed at a military base by accident, when operating a Ryanair flight, springs to mind as just one example.

The Spicejet aircraft has now been stickered over with Transavia logos, but still bits of red paint showing and some of the letter "S" revealed. While it looks weird, it does not qualify as Priority Screening as it is only a one-off hybrid and not a special-scheme or a new livery.

If only we could get the queue down a bit shorter, these discussion of Priority would be so much less important...
