I just got a rejection for missing information. I uploaded the shot without a registration, because I do not know it. Are these shots no longer acceptable without a registration?

Thanks again

You do need to fill in the correct format (e.g. PH-***) even if you don't know the reg

Thanks!

(Can I do that retroactively?)

EDIT: by the way, is there any chance that the add photo page can be reprogrammed to not allow you to submit without doing that, or by automatically putting N***AA or whatever in there? Seems like a funky reason to reject.

I was joking. I meant, can you accept it and update the record to say N***AA.

It's a new word just introduced into the English Language. It means retrospectively. Big grin

But seriously....

The strength of Airliners.net isn't just the photos, but the database containing a wealth of information.

Without registrations, the photos have far less meaning.

Glenn, well said! The pictures are always great due to the high standards of a.net, but the information about the picture is just as important.

If they are a boring, side-on shot, sure.

If it's say... the first ATA 757-300 passing through the Capitol at National Airport, I don't think the registration is nearly as important as the motive.

In any event, I always try to grab the regs if I can.

No, generally speaking registrations should be sort on all occasions.
