Hi guys

I recently had this photo accepted here:

I like it, however the shot below is the next one in sequence (taken within seconds, obviously) and the overall quality seems better to me:



I only noticed this yesterday and was wondering whether it'd be possible to upload it as a replacement. I know that the rules state that it must be an identical photo, and as a separate upload it would get an noa_double rejection. Anything I can do about this? Is it even worth it?

Only under exceptional circumstances can an image be replaced by another.

Old images can be replaced if a better scan can be had or if the original negative/slide is lost and a similar better one is found.

I feel in your case you uploaded too quick and did not check out the alternatives first.

I process the re-uploads and will have a look later this evening.

No complaints though if things are left as-is of course; far be it from me to complain about one of my very few accepted photos!

No real composition difference at all, slightly better quality.
