Shot by one of my dad's friends, Jim Borrup, who worked for the Las Vegas News Bureau at the time. I'm not sure if the pictures of the plane in the canyons is the Cessna 340 or the 414.

Assuming that I get the photographer's permission to submit the photos in his name, and I manage to get decent scans (these are just quick and dirty 300 dpi scans), are these pictures submittable, or is the aircraft too small? They're dramatic shots (and these aren't all of them).

Nice shots! I would give us a preview of a larger version, those are pretty small.

Brings back some memories for me......Did something similar in a TA-4J once upon a time.:D

Those are some great shots Cliff.

I'd like to see a larger version as well. Hope they make it.

Wow!! Those are awesome shots! I'd love to see those in the DB. Do you have any larger versions?

Btw the plane is definitely not a 340. Looks like an early model 414 or a 421A. I'm not too good at distinguishing between those two though.

Top shots - just fantastic. I hope to see them in the DB too!

I'd say its a 411 Cessna - like this one that I snapped a while back.
