Hey everyone
I went out yesterday to see the Space Shuttle lauch and taped down my shutter. I've never shot anything like this before, so I was wondering if anything I got is uploadable. These are the two I have in the queue right now.

1) http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...y/IMG_8076Shuttlelaunchsrs2ep2.jpg

2) This was taken right after the Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) separation when the shuttle was at about 150,000ft. I thought it was the coolest one I got, but I could foresee some quality and/or motive issues. I think it's pretty unique though.

I'd love to hear any of your thoughts!
Thanks alot
Eric

I love that first pic, the beach look's empty! How far was that from KSC?

Simon.

Haha, he was at 150,000ft...and I don't have one of those big moon lenses or anything  Smile I just thought it was cool that you could actually see the two SRB's peeling away, still with flame coming out.

Thanks! I was on the Canaveral National Seashore, just south of New Smyrna Beach. It's about 20-25 miles north of the shuttle's launch pad, I think.

I thought it was a couple of dust spots.  Silly

First one is a borderline I think, I like it but the shuttle itself is hardly visible. Maybe one to leave for Johan.

Second one is not for here.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for sharing these pictures! I would love to see such a launch myself, but I guess it will still on my wish-list for many years...  Smile

PS: I hope your first one will be accepted by Johan!

Good Luck and regards,

Walter

Thanks for the advice and kind words, everyone!
I deleted number 2, but I'll see how the first one does.

Aaaah,....I remember the days when I was sitting in my living room in Daytona, watching the shuttle scoot by on a north-easterly heading.
That's just about the only thing I really miss about FL though....  Yeah sure

In thrust I trust.
