Greetings !

Does anyone have experienced a Canon D60 ?

I saw one yesterday and like it very much. Unfortunately can't find it in internet[for sale] [tried Adorama, Wolf, Ritz].  Sad

Will appreciate so much any help finding one new.

Thanks.

I would say a D60 in the hands of a talented photog is still a very capable machine.

If you search shots from Alex McMahon, his few hundred newest are taken with Canon D60 and a Sigma lens.

Sigma 10-20, Sigma 28-105/135, Sigma 170-500..

How about most of Wietse de Graaf's shots, nothing wrong with the D60, and I think you can pick one up for scratch.

Sure you can't get away with ISO 400 or 800 shots, but for a beginner it will very nice.

Tim

Take a look at this portfolio which belongs to Wietse de Graaf.

As far as I know the bulk of his work here at A.net is done with a D60.

Mike Moores has some killer LHR shots with it. Really this DSLR and the D30 are perfectly good for sunshine work and uploading to the web. My friend Justin Wood used a D30 with a 100-400, and I always liked the colour tone he got straight out of the camera, I don't know if the D60 is the same.

I don't think that's going to happen. They've been out of production for much too long. If you want a good used one though, here's the place:

The forums at Fred Miranda have a great Buy / Sell section. Good prices, good people, great gear.  bigthumbsup

The D60 is a fantastic camera that's very capable even when used by amatuers like me!

http://www.airliners.net/search/phot...Craig%20Murray&distinct_entry=true

Every shot of mine (unless otherwise mentioned) back in time till May 2002 uploaded to this site are taken with the D60. I've never had a problem with it that affected my aviation photography in any way. Recently the flash function (internal and external) became unserviceable so we upgraded (two weeks ago) to the 30D.

If you have the choice, my tip would be to go for a 10D over the D60. If not for the autofocus alone.......

Can I say the same thing about the D300 ?

Please don't be offended, for the previous question.

Thanks.
