I was just wondering what might have caused the rejection, because these are some of my favorite types of pictures to take, and I'd like to take more. Do I need to wait until I'm in the right seat of a Learjet? As always, any comments will be much appreciated.

I'm sure that's not the type of motive that is typically accepted here because it doesn't really show enough of the cockpit. HOWEVER, I really like it because it tells a story: the instruments show what's going on outside. The LCD on the left is leveled the same way the horizon is, and the LCD on the right shows a storm on the radar, aligning with the tall clouds out the cockpit window.
I'm usually shy of appealing, but if motive is the problem, I would appeal this one.

Looks good to me. The only thing you might want to be concerned about are the reflections on the right side of the flightdeck, but that really shouldn't cause a motive rejection.
BTW, is that one of Riddle's Skyhawks?
Cheers,
Sebastian

Shots like that are normally accepted here. You see them all the time.
I would say you got the motive from the shadow of the lens on the cockpit dash. That kills the shot. But having said that its a great shot in my humble opinion. Did you use the pop-up flash on the camera?

Hey Eric,
Great shot, I really like being able to match the nexrad up with the cloud. I just had this one rejected for motive aswell.
After two days I finally got the rejection email, appealed stating it was identical to nearly 200 of my other cockpit shots and they accepted it. Our shots are very similar (except the plane you were in cost a little more!) so if mine was good enough your's should be to.

Hey Guys!
Thanks for the replies.

Yea, I've had a few like that before. Also, I hope the lense shadow isn't the case...I don't really think it detracts from the main points of the photo.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I think this one is cooler than the rest. It's sorta the shot I've been envisioning; the ocean, an airport, a storm, and the G1000 all lit up during a beautiful evening with a storm in the background. Only thing I would have wanted is for the runway lights to be visible and bright. I guess if a rejection email comes, I'll appeal it.

Yeah, a.net sucks if they are't taking these photos. I see you like to touch the screen on the MFD too... Man it is tough to keep your fingers off of that thing.

Oops . I just realized this doesn't really sound right. I think the picture is cooler than my others, not other peoples'.
But, I do hope a.net is still taking these types of photos also.
