Hi all,

Was just wondering which photographers are going to Farnborough for the trade days this week. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon, hoping to catch the A380 display. I think I'll mainly try to focus on the static displays, i'm hoping for a A380 flightdeck visit aswell!  Wink

Finger's crossed anyway!  crossfingers

Who else is going this week?

Regards,
Simon Nicholls

How do you get hold of trade day tickets? I'm going on Saturday if the chronic sun burn I picked up at Fairford yesterday calm's down. Big grin

Hi all,

Trade tickets are so easy to get it's untrue, I have a link into the aviation industry, even though I am not technically in the industry or media and I got trade tickets last FAB airshow and could have done this time too, I am not going this year as I personally don't find it that great nowadays, personal view but thats my view point.

The weather will be fantastic this week and there will be plenty of nice sunny shots to be had so enjoy.

Ben

Indeed Ben, just had a look at the forcast, sun all this week! I've managed to get my hand's on a 30D for this week, so going to give it a trial run. Had a go with it today, the colour's are so much different to the 300D!

Simon.

I'm going on both Thursday and Saturday this week!

Someone at my church in London got me a trade-day ticket, so I'm using it Thursday. I plan to "target" the A380 for my photography--inside and out, if possible, as well as other interesting planes--especially Russians!

The same person also got me a public day ticket, so I plan to go out Saturday. If there's a rail strike Saturday, I may have to find some other way out there (bus, etc).

I'm going at the weekend, on Saturday and possibly Sunday depending on weather and the displays.

Everyone seems to have trade tickets except me!

I will be there on the Wednesday trade day. Im the guest of an airline and even have a slap up Indian meal during the day to look forward to.....

I will be doing the statics first thing (before the crowds get to big). Maybe see what chopper photo's i can get of landing visitors. Then the meal and a beer. And after that off to watch the display... And its all classed as work so i dont even have to take it as a holiday. What a tough days work !!!

Not focusing on anything in particular... Will just see what i end up with....

The only thing i am worried about IS the weather.... They say it could be 30c !!!! If thats the case the haze could be a real problem !!!!

I'm going on Friday as a guest of an airport exec. Then back to the LHR Renaissance with fingers crossed for some evening 27R arrivals.

Knowing my luck it'll be raining!

Ian. Who's lens is the 500mm IS? If it is yours, why isn't it on your equipment list?  Wow!

I'm going Saturday, it's only 15 miles from here so there has been some activity over the house since last Thursday. It will be my first visit to the airshow for around 20years  old
