Hi All

Please take a minute and think about which categories to tick for all the display aircraft. Far, far too many mistakes are being made. A waste of everyone's time. It's not that difficult to check which categories apply.

Tim

Can you give examples of what sort of mistakes you're coming across?

Sounds a good idea. Should help reduce the queue then

When I upload my F-WWOW photos from Farnborough, how should I categorise this aircraft? (It's in Airbus house colours).

Tim,

Please don't shoot me down here but, isn't this a case of general confusion? How much time does it take - in special circumstances like this - for the screener to correct the entry?

Regards

John

P.S. Thanks to the screener for the "personal" regarding my recently rejected EDI 319 shot. I know what you're saying!

Strange enough i have only had one rejection for this so far.... And that was one of the few auto fill in's !!!!!!!!  Smile

What i am finding odd is how i could do a batch of 8 photos . Then one photo in the middle of the batch is screend and accepted. Yet all the other are unscreened , including the ones downloaded prior to the accepted and screened one !!!

Thanks

PS : I could get used to this 24 hr screening  Smile

There is a button manufacturer paint or something as well as first built on the second page.

I noticed this last night Tim, added an A380 shot and noticed that loads of images of F-WWOW had already been accepted with the wrong or no category allocated.

This just seems to add confusion to new uploaders and I would think also adds more work for the database editors.

Cheers,
Ian.

I wouldn't say these are special circumstances, we have more than 400 shots of the F-WWOW in the db. If we would keep correcting ourselves there would be no end to it, and people would keep making the same mistakes.

Yes unfortunately.

Also, try to check the "code" field. Unfortunately the AutoFill completes this field, entering the Paris display code automatically. For the A380, that was "51" (I think) - all aircraft at Paris have such codes.

At Farnborough they do not, so they ought to be removed in your FAB uploads. Your image won't be rejected for ignoring this, but you all want the database to be as accurate as possible, so you may want to look out for that too.

Hi all

And don't batch upload 10 A380 images at a time.

Pre-screen these yourself.

Gary

Cheers TZ,

I had one A380 shot in the queue that had '51' in the code field - hadn't noticed it!  Embarrassment

Hope it will make it, it's different...  Smile

Ian.
