I already emailed the screeners but could anyone else tell me if they think this photo has been unacceptably edited?
This is 1 of 4.

I think the pacific blue is a bit oversharpened, so I have no problem with that but they did say it was a bad manipulation. Where? The background blur is purely motion blur. No photoshop blur.

This picture looks beautiful in my opinion, i would appeal it. it Does look a tad weird, but not weird enough to warrant a reject.

I would agree. Very nice photo. The Pacific Blue looks oversharpened, but im not on my editing monitor so maybe thats why.

Goran i cant comment on the manipulation could have been a wrong box ticked by the screener but who knows.
But i see other issues with your pics that you might want to have a look at.
The aircalin is a bit overexposed and contrast is too high.
Pacific blue i see halos around the aircraft and is also suffering from over contrast.
The British airways looks off colour for some reason just looks off.also cropping the gear looks weird.

The Editing verdict is probably for the halos. I got a few similar rejections the other day - too much Shadow/Highlights thrown causing bands in the sky.
I find it strange that it does this to the sky, but it does.

An editing rejection doesn't neccessarily mean you're being accused of something terrible.

Peter,
Nicely put !
A lot of editing tools such as Neat Image, Smart blur and shadow highlight are very blunt edged instruments and their overuse/abuse can leave images looking overprocessed and unnatural. Their use has to be minimal, subtle to the point that their use cannot be detected and very controlled. That in turn means that the tools and their use has to be well understood. I have rarely used shadow/highlight myself and since starting screening I am coming to dislike it - it seems to me to destroy more images than it saves !

Goran
You have not been accused of cloning or similar. If that had been the case you would have been left in NO doubt !

More and more of the shadow/highlight feature is appearing in images. Correctly processed and it is not a problem. Over use leads to halos around tails, wingtips, undercarriage.

If using this, equalize to see where the problems are.

Also further to the above, the Pacific Blue one is not centred in my eyes.

They all look unlevel and a tad soft on my screen.

The pacific blue was cropped that way so I could get the ATC tower in the frame as well.
Looks like the composition was a casualty. I tried cropping it to centre the plane but it looks weird with the ATC tower chopped from the bottom.
I thought the screener assumed I used the clone tool or something similar judging from the email I got. Thanks for clearing it up.
back to the photoshop for some re-processing.
