Hi all,

I got this picture rejected: http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...ame=20060724_03-hbjzp-gva-0714.jpg

2 reasons were given, the first is the border, I somehow hadn't seen it, my bad!

The second is "People": "These photo(s) show people in a way so that they can be recognised. Generally we do not accept such photos, as our database is primarily for airliners, but there are exceptions. If you want to read more about this problem, please go to (...) "

I'm sorry but I just can't seem to find anyone on this pic except the pilot! Any idea why this reason was given?

Best regards
Philippe

PS: this is a new reg on the db

It's not about AIRBUS. it's not about BOEING. It's all about the beauty of FLYING.

Philippe.

I'd crop out the border, and upload again.

There are no people in the picture recongnisable.

The only thing I don't like on this photo is that the picture is cropped very tight to the aircraft on the right side.

Most likely just a human error, another rejection reason was probably meant to have been checked off instead.

The "Borders" button might have been near the "people" button!

Re-crop and remove the border and I'd say its a winner.

Could also be that the people checkbox is close to the angle checkbox  Wink
A little bit counterclokwise might do the trick.

Thanks guys, just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything here.

Yeah, now you say it! Hadn't seen that.

Yeah it's very tight, but as you can see with the border, I'm very close to the edge of the photo, and with the little rotation I get very borderline. I insisted on uploading it though, as it's a new reg for eaysjet Switzerland.

Here's the new upload, better? http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/03b-hbjzp-gva-0714.jpg

AIRLINERS.NET CREW
HEAD SCREENER

I will hold my hands up and say that I rejected that one, but I am pretty certain that I did not give it a people rejection.
I did however give it a PERSONAL about the border as I was unsure if it was a border or the roof of a building.
Scroll to the bottom of the rejection message
My comment was along the lines of,"If it is a roof, it would be better cropped out"
PERSONAL, not people.

Hi Mick, sorry about the confusion, here's the mail that I got:
We have had to reject the following photos:

Quoting email:

- 03-hbjzp-gva-0714.jpg (EasyJet Airline Airbus A319-111)
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...ame=20060724_03-hbjzp-gva-0714.jpg

These photo(s) show people in a way so that they can be recognised.
Generally we do not accept such photos, as our database is primarily for
airliners, but there are exceptions. If you want to read more about this
problem, please go to
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/reasons.php#people

These photo(s) are partly or fully surrounded by light or dark borders.
In most cases it's very easy to remove these borders. If you want to read
more about this problem, and about possible ways to correct it and
hopefully attempt a re-upload, please go to
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/reasons.php#borders

So I guess it's just a mistake. Thanks for posting, I appreciate it!
Cheers,
Philippe
