I'd really like to see exactly what your photo was rejected for, but I can give some general answers to your question. I am not sure if this applies to your situation though, a bit more info would help.
Quoting Eadster (Thread starter): Is the "private" category, only for jets, and if not how long has it been this way?
Private can apply to all aircraft categories, although it will most often be used for single engined props.
Quoting Eadster (Thread starter): When doing an "Off Airport" location, since when have we had to include a town in the remarks?
You don't. The town should normally be included in the Off-Airport location. If it's not there (for a good reason!), then it may be a good idea to mention it in the remarks, but this is not compulsory.
Another example of what we very much like to see in the remarks is the name of a museum, or similar info that adds to what's already mentioned in the Off-Airport location.
But again, this is not compulsory. We strongly advise to include such info, because it is very helpful for the viewers. But you don't have to.

That was the exact reason it was rejected. Ok so I've never used private on any props ever and never had an issue until now so that's easy I can now tick that box too. I have 4 in the database from this location, 1 with remarks on where the landing place is. I just couldn't and basically still don't understand why its a problem after 4 shots but anyway.
I'll try the shot again later with a different approach to placing info. Thanks again. I never posted the shot as I lost it in appeal Q.
The Private category has nothing to do with the aircraft type. It only depends on the aircraft's owner. If that owner is a private person, then tick Private.
So if a jetliner, a helicopter or a even an ex-military fighter is owned by some private individual, then tick the Private category for those. Of course private individuals most often own single engined props, but that's beside the point.

I see your problem. Stating the exact place for every photo again and again may seem a bit too much, but viewers do not necessarily get to see the other photos too. In which case they only have the Off-Airport location to go on. That's why we like to see the additional info in the remark of every photo, even if it may seem superfluous.
BTW, it's a bit uncommon not to have the town's name in the Off-Airport location. Which location are we talking about here? Even if the photo isn't available anymore, I think you can still post some of the info?
