has anyone any experience of having Canon lenses serviced in the United kingdom. I sent my EF300 F4 IS To Canon to have an intermittent fault identified, they have quoted a little over a hundred pounds to reset and service the lens, hopefully this will rectify the problem, fingers crossed. Wondered how this compares with other users experiences with Canon servicing/repairs.

I've never used these guys, but got their details from Canon UK support pages as I plan to get my EOS body serviced over the summer.

Just another source, they maybe be able to offer some guidance on their pricing for doing the same.

Fixation are excellent. I couried my camera to them for a full service and it was back with me in just under a week. I was recommended them by a few fellow photographers who use them all the time.

PS. I sent my 100-400 via Jessops and ended up spending £350 to get it fixed. I suspect now that the AF motor they replaced wasn't even faulty and the lens just needed calibrating. It turned out to be a calibration problem on my camera which was only evident when using the 100-400 at long lengths.

Basicaly from now on, Fixation are likely to get any of my service work.

Thanks for the input very much appreciated, sounds like Fixation are well worth using in the future.
