has anyone any experience of having Canon lenses serviced in the United kingdom. I sent my EF300 F4 IS To Canon to have an intermittent fault identified, they have quoted a little over a hundred pounds to reset and service the lens, hopefully this will rectify the problem, fingers crossed. Wondered how this compares with other users experiences with Canon servicing/repairs.

Fixation are excellent. I couried my camera to them for a full service and it was back with me in just under a week. I was recommended them by a few fellow photographers who use them all the time.
PS. I sent my 100-400 via Jessops and ended up spending £350 to get it fixed. I suspect now that the AF motor they replaced wasn't even faulty and the lens just needed calibrating. It turned out to be a calibration problem on my camera which was only evident when using the 100-400 at long lengths.
Basicaly from now on, Fixation are likely to get any of my service work.
