Hello,

I will be going to ZRH at the end of the month and would like to try out spots outside of the decks this time.

I've read this very nice spotting guide ( http://homepage.sunrise.ch/mysunrise/dominguez/feat_spot01.htm ) but still have some questions. I hope the many swiss spotters here will be able to help me out  Smile

First of all are there public transport possibilities to get to the various spots (like Heli and 14,16 arrival) ?

Then I saw the following pictures where I would like to try out some photo shooting myself. Can someone tell me how to access those spots ? By car should be no problem but if there is a public ctransport possibility it would be nice as well.

Here are the pictures:

Would a ladder be required for the last two shots ?

I suppose this one was taken from the intersection spot ?

And finally are the landings on runway 34 every morning from 6 to 8 ? (as far as the wind permits it of course).

Thanks to all for reading so far  Wink and for helping me.

Best Regards
Chris

Hi there,

I see, you found the spotting guide on my website already  Wink

The heliport can be reached with public transportation (bus from the airport) and some 20 minutes hiking. The carparks at RWY 14 and 16 are also accessible with public transportation and a bit more hiking, but it's quite a mess if you ask me.

From top to down (referring to this map here: http://homepage.sunrise.ch/mysunrise/dominguez/zrh_spot_graph.htm):
#1: accessible with public transportation, but forget about it, as it is too far from the airport just to get one or two good shots.
#2: Nr 5 on the map linked above. From the airport I would say some 45 minutes of walking.
#3: at the east end of RWY 10-28, about 20 minutes from the airport. But there aren't that many landings on RWY 28 anymore (ladder required).
#4: Parking RWY 16, no ladder required.
#5: no-go without ramp access. Tis shot was taken at one of our foto association's ramp tour (www.airsidefoto.ch)

Thank you very much Gerardo and Tommy. It's all the info I needed  Smile

Just one thing @Gerardo: Do you know the names of the streets for the different spots ?

Now I only need to hope for some good weather  pray
