Some Pre Screening On These Please

Hi all,
My acceptance has taken a minor dip just recently so I want some opinions on these two please.This is the first time I've tried this sort of photo otherwise I wouldn't bother you all,so any constructive help will go along way:

Well i think these are cracking pics.

Great use of the light aswell...........as sometimes these shots can turn out stunning. That's what i have found when shooting these type of shots.

Personally i think the 1st one is the best ........appeals to me more with the background and the image is really sharp.

The sceond one is really sharp aswell.........but i can only see the top of the nose being slightly soft......that might go against the image.

I have troubles my self getting the whole pic tack sharp on these sort of shots ......mainly due to the light and lack of it.

But one thing for sure is there make cracking prints.
