I guess it rather depends on the runway usage and weather during that day.

you can find the current and expected runway usage here:
runway usage It is in Dutch but you will figure it out

So, my itinery for a whole day of spotting would be:

Early morning (06:00 - 10:00): Shoot landings at the spotters place 06/24 (Kaagbaan).

If they land on 36L/18R then I would go to the east side of 36L/18R (polderbaan).

If they take off/land from 06/24 an alternative would be to go to the Hoofddorp railway station, rent a bike or go walking along the bus track to shoot runway overviews with aircrafts taking off or landing

Morning to afternoon (10:00 - 14:00): Go to the airport and shoot some pictures from the panorama terrace.

Have lunch at the airport. If they are taking off from 06/24 an alternative would be to take some banking shots from aircrafts taking off from 24.

afternoon to evening (14:00 - 18:00): a good time to explore Amsterdam    as there will be heat haze all over the place.

Evening (18:00 - ...): 36L/18R is the best in the evening. Line up shots, take off shots or landings it is all very well possible.

Indeed it isn't. Jurgen, where the heck is that spot? How much zoom would be required? I would love to get some shots like that.

Once I know where the spot is I shall add it to the site asap.

Come on Peter, you are the specialist, you created that website Big grin

Just go to the N201 from the Kaagbaan spotters place and cross the N201. It's a small road parallel to the A4. Drive about 4km until you see the van der Valk hotel at the A4. Park your car there and wait  camera

You will need about 400mm and the light is best in the morning and the early afternoon.

Light start to suck after 12:30 and it's best to go there in winter. Was there this morning waiting for the SQ 744, when they changed to 24 + 18L at 12:30 all of a sudden. I got the MH, but never saw the SQ. Must have taken 18L.  Sad

Same story here, there is just no way you can get around the MH 744   At least you got the nice clouds this morning, I only got the boring blue sky
