I recently had a PhotoCD processed by Kodalux where 17 of 100 image files are defective. The defect is a form of distortion where part of the image appears drooped, as if the swirl effect tool was dragged vertically down the image.
Kodalux responded to my phone query by advising me to take the original envelope back to the store from which the order was submitted and have them return the PhotoCD and all slides in a customer service envelope for rescanning.
There is no sense in having Kodalux scan 83 images that are not defective, so I will be attempting to substitute new slides for those. I feel justified in doing this, as a lot of my time has been taken up by this problem. They may balk at this, if they detect it.
I'll let you know what happens, though it is likely to take about 15-20 days.
Has anyone else experienced distortion like this on a PhotoCD? (Not PictureCD).

Tom:
I've used Photo CDs a number of times, and have not experienced the problem you described. Hope that you succeed in getting it fixed!

Better hope they don't catch it...and throw out all your slides.
