Hello again,

Now I really need some good advice as to this shot from outside the Terminal building at NYO:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/SKAVSTA6121.jpg

Is it interesting enough as a MOTIVE?

Is the quality good enough?

There are no people or cars identifiable at least, as I think that is a necessary qualification to begin with.

Thanks in advance,
Frippe

Nice apart from the blasted lamp post.

See the airport authority has nicked the Eastern Airways logo idea  Smile

Hello again and thank you, Gary.

Always very nice to have such an approving comment from a screener. But I still worry a bit about the levelling problems, as nothing in the photo seems to be vertical. And I do not risk to encounter the security staff at the airport, if I should secretly during night go out there and try to straighten the lamp post up.  cheerful

I mean, there should always be some limits as to what you do in order to have a photo added to a database, even to Airliners.net, don't you agree.
Frippe
PS
I am nearing number 200 in the db, all taken at NYO, so therefore I found it appropriate to show you the entrance to the Stockholm-Skavsta Airport.

Thank you Fride for showing us your fine pictures from NYO. I have to visit NYO soon. I should have paid a visit this great sunny summer. Do you have some pictures from the evening side north of the main runway?

Anders

Hello Anders, and thanks for your kind appreciation.

Yes, I tried to shoot from the north side once in the evening when the sunshine came from that direction. But I was not successful that time, and it is only possible around midsummer during the long evenings then.
Maybe next summer,
Frippe

Hello again,

NO NO, in the second round of screening this airport overview got a MOTIVE rejection.

Maybe the buildings themselves should have dominated the photo much more?
Or what do you say who have experience of having photos accepted from outside the departure or arrival entrances. I write this only to learn. But perhaps no such photos are in the database?

Hi Frippe,

Quoting Frippe (Reply 5):

Yes, I think this photo is dominated too much by a text on a sign, and by the light pole as well. I'm not surprised by the motive rejection.

NO, it was also given a Motive rejection, so now I know. Maybe this is of general interest. And I conclude that the entrance has to be bigger and more interesting and rare in architecture etc.
