This is just a note to anyone with these cameras trying to use RAW with Photoshop. Adobe has not released Adobe Camera Raw 3.6 officially which is supposed to support RAW from these cameras; however, after installing Lightroom Beta 4 I noticed I can magically open RAW files from my D80 in Photoshop CS2 now.

I'm taking a photography course in college, and i'm in first year so the people don't really know what they're doing yet. And one lady had the 400D, and cannot get her RAW files to work. She's been asking for help, continuously, and the teachers are lost. I told her and them, it's most likely because the camera is too new for the latest update from adobe, you'll have to wait for the next update. But it gets ignored saying that wouldn't be it. < /rant>

I've just downloaded Adobe Lightroom 4 Beta and converted a Raw (NEF) photo from my D80 to a .jpg. It worked - much faster than Nikon Capture NX!!
