Hi guys,
Currently over in CLT with family for the next few days having flown in from LGW on Sunday. I'd like to take advantage of the nicer weather I've found over here at the airport at some point.
I've had a look at Spotter's Wiki and it mentioned a spot by the 18R threshold which seemed really great, has the construction work on the new runway commenced yet - meaning that spot is no more?
Winds today seem to be NW...will that bring the 36s into use? Where would you recommend I go to get the best view and photos etc?

The overlook is still open. Go there. While it's true that it's somewhat better when 18s are in use, you can still get decent 36L photos.
I can't decide whether I miss the tulip or the bowling shoe more
