Hello

I'd first like to say, Admin - please do not delete this thread! I know it might be (although i haven't checked) against the rules, but this is the only place where i can find this sort of help.

At the moment, i am just using a flatbed scanner with an adapter to scan slides. And, until yesterday i thought my slides were poor. Now i have a magnifier (ya know, one of them things with the light in the back for viewing slides at 2x magnification).. And as far as i could see most looked of pretty good quality, although maybe not up to A.net standards as yet (need the right light conditions)..

I said before that i would be able to buy a Minolta Dual Scan II, but that is no longer the case, so it looks like a cheap film/slide scanner.

All i would like is for someone to Scan my slides, using a decent film scanner, so that i can compare the difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and i will be quite willing to pay some money for the service.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Hey Dan -

From the email address beneath your name, I would surmise you are in England.

I would think that you should be able to find a decent commercial company to do that for you - just get one or two slides done, so you will have something to compare your own with.

I'd scan in some for you, but being here in America, I wouldn't want to venture the mailing them overseas.

Dan,

E-mail me - my e-mail address is in my profile. I'm in the Nottingham / Derby area and whilst I can't get down to Bristol that easily at the moment to pick up stuff, if we can reach an arrangement for you to send some slides through the post I'll scan them for you.

Best regards,

Andy
