I've gotten a lot of (BS) rejections lately for motive.. which I should probably argue but am getting too lazy to bother with..

But i saw this and thought, "Damn.. this is what I use to love seeing on this site."

Thanks for taking this one into the database.. its a badass shot and I'd love it if more shots like this were seen in the database in the future. (It's my new desktop!)

You're making it looks like we'd reject these shots. The problem is that almost noone can shoot these.

You're making it look like you would accept all these shots. I know of a certain KLM B777 shot in about the same situation (A2A, big contrails, nice clouds underneath, sunset light)which WAS rejected.  Wink

Cheers,

Thierry

Hey Tim,

Yah, I agree that not many people can get shots like that. However, it breaks all the rules that you guys usually shoot pictures down for : Soft, distance, and frankly.. motive.

Here are some of my recent rejections that I'd love some feed back on.. why they were knocked as being not of Motive quality:

I like to think I'm pretty good at detecting the motive acceptable by airliners.net after nearly 3 years of uploading pics.. Just curious why these were shot down.

Thanks,
Adam

Adam

1- Needs to be cropped closer or include the tail, we don't to go for these crops. Slightly oversharpened too
2- Most likely the reflection. Did you lighten the engine intake btw? They looks very grainy.
3- Did you get motive on this? Angle looks off though, and is the size ratio correct?

Tim

Adam,

Put the anet watermark either at the top or the bottom of the pic. Don't put it in the middle of the pic - it ruins it.  Smile

Isn't that the whole point?

While you're at it, take all the locks off your doors...it makes it hard to get in.
